Speedee Oil Change & Tune-Up

I went to this speedee shop in Folsom (off of Greenback & Auburn Folsom). They helped me with an on going issue I had with my vehicle and helped me out with the cost by giving me a coupon price when I didn't bring in the coupon!

I don't know what that guy is talking about, that doesn't sound like the Folsom SpeeDee at all. I have found them to be completely honest, helpful and knowledgeable, and they always tell me exactly what needs to be done and break it all down for me. The owners are very involved and make sure that the customers are treated properly. I always take my cars to SpeeDee. That other review sounds to me like a simple misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion (or a disgruntled employee).

I took my car into Speedee on Folsom Auburn for a smog check and had them run an engine diagnostic because my check engine light was illuminated. They charged $96.00 for reading the codes off the car's system, which took all of one minute. They then ran smog in which the functional test failed, but the emissions test PASSED. They quoted me $1,600 for parts alone from the dealer to replace the catalytic converter and related components and said that was the only way I could pass smog. Thinking this did not make sense, I did some research and found a dealer service recall had been issued to recalibrate the system for FREE. Furthermore, I found the parts during my research to be less than $850.00 from the dealer. After passing smog today WITHOUT REPLACING ANY PARTS, I can't help but think that Speedee is either entirely incompetent or completely lacks integrity and was trying to rip me off. I WILL NOT RETURN and neither should you! We should not accept this kind of business in our community.
